Leading geoenvironmental engineering consultancy, The Environmental Protection Group (EPG), saw a key team member celebrated at this year’s 2025 susdrain SuDS Champions Awards.
Jacqueline Diaz-Nieto, Associate SuDS Engineer, was presented the coveted Dr Louise Walker Outstanding Contribution to SuDS award at the ceremony last week. Jacqueline has demonstrated a career-long commitment to tackling urban drainage challenges using innovate thinking and effective stakeholder engagement. Working on design solutions and industry education, the judges saw the extensive positive contributions Jacqueline has made to the future of water management.
Phil Williams, Director commented, “We’re ecstatic to see Jacqueline recognised for her dedication, passion, leadership and technical excellence in sustainable drainage. She makes a real impact in the industry, developing guidance, shaping SuDS policy and championing best practice. We’re extremely proud to have her on the team.”
EPG is multi-award winning company and continues to shape the water industry with pioneering ideas. As original co-authors of the SuDS manual, EPG will soon start work on the new Rainwater Management Platform, a national initiative funded by Ofwat’s Water Breakthrough Challenge.
